Victor Agu ( HRinspired ) is a finely tuned Management and Human Resources Professional, whose primary focus is on driving organizational success through HR excellence. With about a decade in Leadership, Management and Human Resources combined; he has accrued pivotal experiences that span across sectors such as Finance, Real Estate, Agriculture, Hospitality, Manufacturing and Consulting till date.
He is a Chartered Human Resources Practitioner, a Chartered Management Professional; a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) respectively. He also holds a certification in Project Management from the Chartered institute of Project Management, a PMP from the American Academy of Project Management, and a Certification in Data Science.
He clearly understands and has handled strategic HR functionalities across the HR Value Chain. Over the course of his career, he has led diverse cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of Human Resources and Management strategies, as well as set up HR departments from scratch in firms within and outside Nigeria.
He is an ex-Head of Human Resources of a Pan-African Organisation, with an established presence in Lagos-Nigeria, Nairobi-Kenya, Freetown-Sierra Leone and Juba-South Sudan. He currently practices as Human Resources Project Manager of a notable Consulting organization in Ikeja, the capital city of Lagos-Nigeria, where he leads Human Capital projects across Governmental and Private institutions, across diverse industries.

He also volunteers and partners with notable Human Resources, Consulting, Management firms and communities across Nigeria in Leadership, Management and Training capacities, while being closely mentored by the highly esteemed Oluyemi Adeosun SPhri MCIPM DTM PhD (2 time elected Governing Council Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria)
As an avid student of new and relevant knowledge, Victor smoothly blends HR with Technology, via Data Science and Project Management.
He’s very skilled at the use of Advanced Excel, PowerBi, SQL and Python, amongst other tools in preparing, visualizing, cleaning and transforming HR data to make data driven and strategically informed Management decisions.
Victor Agu is a graduate of Economics from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife and is currently undergoing his post graduate studies at the University of Lagos.
He’s also a graduate of the Stella Obialor Executive Training Academy and the founder of the VALA Community (a career growth hub) with over 1000 members-across Recruitment and Training channels.
As a person given to enhancing the professional lives of students, fresh graduates, career enthusiasts, job seekers and budding professionals alike; he frequently organises workshops, seminars and boot camps, which has helped and equipped over 500 budding professionals in kick starting and advanced their careers, till date.
Beyond his career in Human Resources, Victor Agu is a professional speaker, trainer and writer. Apart from his several articles (written and published), he is an author of four books- Assumptions (the dark and the bright sides), Rise Up from your Ruins, Land a Job Within 90 Days and HR in Brief. He dearly loves music and plays the piano at a near advanced level.
